All Xoom Transfers DTF prints are designed for Instant Peel application. That means no waiting, no guesswork, and no wasted time. As soon as your press opens, you can peel the film away and move straight to the final seal — making every press faster, cleaner, and more efficient.
Instant Peel delivers crisper edges, stronger adhesion, and a smoother finish, whether you’re using a household iron, a Cricut EasyPress, or a traditional heat press. It’s one more way Xoom Transfers helps you get professional-quality results with less effort.

What You’ll Need
- Your DTF transfer
- Garment (cotton, polyester, or blends)

Heat source (choose one):
- Household iron
- Cricut EasyPress or similar handheld press
- Traditional heat press
- Parchment paper or Teflon sheet
- A hard, flat surface (important for irons and EasyPress)
NOTE: Avoid ironing boards. Use a table, countertop, or heat press mat for firm pressure.
Recommended Settings
Household Iron
- Setting: Cotton / High (steam OFF)
- Time: 15–20 seconds per area
- Pressure: Firm, even pressure
Cricut EasyPress
- Temperature: 300°F (150°C)
- Time: 12–15 seconds
- Pressure: Firm, steady pressure
Commercial Heat Press (clamshell or swing-arm)
- Temperature: 285°F–310°F
- Time: 12–15 seconds
- Pressure: Medium to firm
Peel type for all methods: Instant peel
Step-by-Step Application
Step 1: Pre-Heat the Garment
Heat the blank garment for 3–5 seconds to remove moisture and wrinkles.
This step improves adhesion for all application methods.
Step 2: Position the Transfer
Place the transfer ink-side down on the garment.
Ensure correct placement before pressing.
Step 3: Apply Heat
Using a Household Iron
- Press firmly without sliding
- Work in sections for larger designs
- Hold heat for 15–20 seconds per area
- Overlap slightly to ensure full coverage
Using a Cricut EasyPress
- Apply firm, even pressure
- Press for 12–15 seconds
- Lift and reposition for larger designs — do not slide
Using a Heat Press
- Press once for 12–15 seconds
- Use medium to firm pressure
Step 4: Instant Peel
As soon as pressing is complete, peel the film immediately while it is still warm.
Peel smoothly at a steady angle.
If any part of the design lifts, lay the film back down and reapply heat for a few seconds.
Step 5: Final Seal Press
Cover the design with parchment paper or a Teflon sheet and press again:
- Iron: 10 seconds with firm pressure
- EasyPress: 5–7 seconds
- Heat Press: 5–7 seconds
This step improves durability, stretch, and wash resistance.
Washing & Care Instructions
- Wait 24 hours before washing
- Wash inside out in cold water
- Avoid bleach and fabric softeners
- Tumble dry low or hang dry
- Do not iron directly on the design
Helpful Tips
- Firm pressure is more important than high heat
- Hard surfaces give better results than padded ones
- Polyester may require slightly lower temperatures
- Always test on a scrap garment when possible
Troubleshooting
Transfer not sticking?
Increase pressure or extend press time slightly.
Edges lifting after peel?
Cover and reapply heat for 5–10 seconds.
Design looks dull?
Complete the final seal press.
